This course is based on the article “The Foundations of Channel Theory” printed in the Journal of Chinese Medicine in September 2012 (issue 100).

- Understand the make-up of the meridian system and how it is put together
- Learn to diagnose using the meridians
- Understand the use and application of mirroring and imaging
- Treat any type of pain distally with immediate feedback on the efficacy of the treatment
- Understand the real reason behind the function of the point and know that there is no empirical reason for why a point functions
Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to
- Assess pain, orthopaedic conditions and physical complaints using meridian theory and devise an appropriate treatment plan
- Understand classical empirical point indications in a logical non-empirical way.
- Gain a different understanding of point descriptions by placing the focus on channel theory and understanding meridians
- Enhance their practice by solidifying their prognostic skills based on meridian assessment

About Jonathan Shubs
Geboren in Toronto, Kanada. TCM-Studium am Institut Shao Yang in Lyon, Frankreich. Spezialisierung in Japanischer, Koreanischer und Fünf-Elemente-Akupunktur. Jonathan Shubs hat sich auch mit Tai Qi und Qi Gong auseinandergesetzt. Zuerst in Toronto unter Prof. Sifu Philip Mo, später bei Prof. Zhi-Zhong Wang in Beijing und Prof. Mingchun Mao von der Shanxi University in Taiyuan. Führt eine TCM-Praxis in Lausanne.
