Über dieses Seminar

As Chinese Medicine regards the human being as an inseparable unit comprising of a physical, energetic and psycho-spiritual dimension, the majority of the acupuncture points have been described having not only specific energetic and physical actions, but also their more subtle effects on the emotions, the mind and the spirit.

At times these psycho-spiritual functions have been emphasized by the ancient names given to a point, such as Shen-spirit, Ling-soul, Gui-ghost, Tian-heaven, to mention just a few.

Their clinical applications were passed down orally, hence their absence in the classical literatures.

Since the 1920's, modern TCM, has greatly downgraded the concept of the spirit, hence the very limited application of the "Spirit points" in the daily acupuncture practice.

This lecture proposes an alternative view and some strategies for integrating these concepts into the daily practice.
