Academy founders
Chiway was founded in 1986 by Solange and Hamid Montakab. Since then, over 1000 students from 40 different countries have undergone training at the Chiway. Many of the first acupuncturists in Switzerland began theri path in Chinese Medicine with Hamid Montakab.
"It has always been my dream to create an international school where all
traditions could meet and students from the five continents could
mingle and benefit from the deep knowledge and the wonderful holistic
methods of the Asian Healing Arts and to pass it on further. During
these 26 years, we have had teachers from all over the world and
students from over 40 countries attend our classes. At this stage, I am
extremely pleased to be able to dedicate myself to teaching and to leave
the administration in the capable hands of my truly committed
successors Simon and Stefan, to continue this vision."
